Coaching

Two ways to work
with us directly.

For people who want the situation they're actually in named and worked through — not another framework. Small group or one-to-one. Both built on the same foundation: direct, specific, real.

Hard Conversations

Small-group coaching for the feedback, pushback, and redirection conversations you've been avoiding. Five weeks. Live sessions. Real situations from the room.

Most managers know what conversation needs to happen. They know the team member who needs redirecting, the standard that's been slipping, the piece of feedback they've been sitting on for three weeks. The problem is not information. The problem is doing it — live, with a real person, without it going sideways.

Hard Conversations is a five-week cohort for managers who are ready to stop putting those situations off. You bring a real scenario. We work through it together — in a group small enough that everyone gets direct coaching, not just an audience seat.

What you get
  • 01
Small cohort. Not a webinar. Enough people to learn from, few enough that you are not anonymous.
  • 02
Weekly live sessions with direct coaching from Patrick or James — not pre-recorded content.
  • 03
Bring a real situation. Each week you leave with a specific next move — not a framework to interpret at home.
  • 04
Built on 60+ years of leading real teams across industries — the situations we work through are drawn from things that actually happened.
Five weeks — what we cover
Week 1
Setting the standard. What you actually expect — and how to say it out loud without it becoming a speech.
Week 2
The feedback conversation. Specific, direct, and not a disaster. What to say before the meeting, in the meeting, and after.
Week 3
Pushback and resistance. When someone disagrees with you, digs in, or goes quiet. How to hold the line without escalating.
Week 4
Redirecting underperformance. What to do before the formal process — the conversation that either fixes it or builds the record.
Week 5
Holding it over time. Consistency, follow-through, and what to do when the same situation comes back around.

Private Coaching

Book a founder directly for a specific situation, or work with us on a longer plan. No packages you didn't ask for.

Sometimes the situation is too specific, too confidential, or too urgent for a group programme. Private coaching is one-to-one, with Patrick or James directly — not handed off to an associate. You bring the situation as it actually is. We work through it.

Some people book a single session for a specific conversation they need to have next week. Others work with us over several months as they navigate their first year. Either is fine — we don't push you toward a package you didn't ask for.

How it works
  • 01
Work with Patrick or James directly. You know who you're booking. No matching process, no handoff.
  • 02
By the session or on a structured plan. Decide on the call what fits — one session or an ongoing arrangement.
  • 03
Confidential. Bring the situation as it actually is — the politics, the history, the thing you can't say in a group session.
  • 04
Cross-industry. We have worked across manufacturing, supply chain, hospitality, logistics, and retail. The dynamics translate.
Good reasons to book
  • You have a specific conversation you need to have in the next week or two
  • The situation involves personnel details you cannot share in a group
  • You want ongoing support through your first year in the role
  • You've done a group programme and want to go deeper on something specific
